BDC: Orientation sa Pagtatanim ng Luya (ginger)

Nuro, Upi, Shariff Kabunsuan.….Muling nagsagawa kaninang umaga ng orientation sa mga magsasaka na interesadong magtanim ng luya ang Business Development Center (BDC).

Ipinaliwanag at nagbigay ng demonstration ng mga supporting staff ng BDC sa pangungauna ni Manager Raul Gardose.

Pinakita sa mahgit na dalawapung magsasaka na dumalo kong magkano ang magiging net income sa 1/4 hektarya at papaano ang makabagong technoohiya sa pagtatanim ng luya.

Ang pinakabago na programa ng BDC ay paghihikayat ng pagtatanim ng luya sa polybag plastic na sa loob lamang ng 120 na araw.

Ayon kay Gardose halos doble ang tubo ng mga magsasaka sa naturang bagong technolohiya.

Dagdag pa ni Gardose ay handang bumili ng Nopa Food Corporation na nakabase sa Davao City ng pickles na luya (120 araw ang edad) ng 20 tonelada bawat buwan.

Ang mga naunang training na naisagawa ng BDC hinggil sa pagtatanim ng luya ay katuwang ang USAID’s Growth with Equity in Mindanao (GEM) Program.

paano po ba malalaman kung talagang tutubo yong luya?
paano po kong mapalpak?di ba po maaaring kainin ito ng mga peste?
ano naman po ang panlaban sa mga peste?
at saka maaari niyo po bang ituro sakin kung paano itanim ang luya?

para gawin kung negusyo ako na poh kc ngaun ang bumobuhay sa pamilyah namin hindi kc sapat para makapag aral ung dalawa kung kapatid sa maliit na negusyo ko bali gusto ko pasukin ang pag tatanim ng luyah para kahit papaano matugonan ko mga pangangailangn ng pamilyah ko at ako den ay maka pag aral ule sa college para kahit gan2 lang ako my matapos ako na coarso at maipag malaki sa pamilyah ko.

(Mga Tips na kinalap ni Alih S. Anso- co-anchor ng programang “Ang Magsasaka Ngayon” 6:00-7:00 PM -every Sunday-anchor ni Engr. Isagani Deaño)

1. Pumili ng magandang uri ng luya (rhizomes); iyong mabintog, walang sakit o sugat at gumigiti na. Hiwain sa ilang piraso. Humigit-kumulang mga 20-50 gramo ang timbang ng bawat piraso ng pananim at dapat may 2 o 3 mata. Huwag paarawan. Depende sa klase ng luya , mga 800 kilograms hanggang 3,000 kg binhi ang kakailanganin ng isang (1) hectare.
2. Ilagay ang binhi sa isang kaing. Ibabad ang kaing sa fungicide solution sa loob ng 15-30 minuto upang hindi amagin o mabulok ang binhi.
3. Para makagawa ng fungicide solution, tunawin ang 3-5 kutsara Benlate W.P.. Sundin lamang mabuti ang tamang rekomendasyon ng manufacturer na nakasulat sa etiketa.
4. Matapos ibabad, pahanginan ng tatlong (3) araw sa lilim ang binhi upang matuyong mabuti, bago itanim.
5. Araruhin at suyuring mabuti ang lupang pagtatamnan. Gumawa ng beds, 1 piye ang taas at 1 metro ang lapad sa kahit na anong haba ng taniman.
6. Kumuha ng dayami (rice straws); ikalat sa ibabaw ng beds at silaban. Ito ang proteksyon laban sa anumang mikrobyong naninirahan sa lupa na maaring makapinsala sa binhing bagong tanim. Ito ay dapat gawin nang (3) tatlong beses.
7. Kung ang lupa ay buhaghag (sandy) magpataba ng 400kg complete fertilizer (12-24-12) bawat ektarya. At, 300 kg complete fertilizer (N-P-K) bawat ektarya kung lagkitin, ito’y sa unang pag-aabono pagkatanim. Ang lupang lagkitin ay mas nangangailangan ng dagdag na pagpapataba kaya sa ika-3 at ika-4 na buwan kailangan mag-abono muli sa daming 400kg (N-K-P) bawat ektarya. Ngunit mga huling araw na ay iminumungkahi na ng mga kaalaman (agriculturist) na simulan ng gumamit ng organic fertilizer dahil wala itong “side effect” sa tanim na luya.
8. Ibaon ang seed piece o binhi sa lalim na 5 sentimetro (cm). Sundin ang triangular pattern sa pagtatanim at panatilihin ang 30 cm na agwat sa beds ng mga binhi.
9. Pagkatanim, diliging mabuti ang mga beds o patubigan ang mga kanal sa pagitan ng mga beds.
10. Lagyan ng pangkulob ang ibabaw ng beds, dayami (rice straw) o palapa ng niyog, upang hindi tumubo ang mga damong-ligaw at mapantiling mamasa-masa ang taniman.
11. Kapag nagsilitw na ang mga sibol ng luya sa pagitan ng mga pangkulob na dahon (mulch), mag-abono uli sa ikalawang pagkakataon upang mpabilis ang pagtubo ng mga luya.
12. Sa ika-walong buwan o mas maaga-aga pa rito, depende sa ginger variety, maninilaw na ang mga dahon ng luya, at maari nang mag-ani.
13. Bungkalin ang taniman, gumamit ng tinidor (spading fork)upang mabuhaghag ang lupa. Bunutin ang mga tanim. Putulin ang dahon sa pinakapuno, putulin din ang mga suloy at ugat. Hugasan sa tubig nang ilang beses; huwag hahayaang may maiwang lupa o dumi.
14. Pahanginan, subalit sa malilim na lugar, nang matuyong mabuti at nang di-amagin o mabulok.
15. Kung kakailanganin, ilubog sa fungicide solution bago ibodega o imbakin. Sundin ang rekomendasyon ng manufacturer sa etiketa.

Kong iimbak mo ang iyong luya dahil naghihintay ng mataas na presyo ay heto ang stratehiya nila sa may Batangas, karaniwan nang iniimbak nila ang luya sa lupa. Sila ay naghuhukay sila sa lupa ng dalawang (2) metro ang lalim at duon ikinakarga ang mga 2,000 kilong luya. Ang pag-iimbak na ito ay maaring tumatagal nang isang taon.

ako po si tonio ancla, tga davao po ako.. Meron na po akong maliit na farm ng luya, kasi sumubok na ako mgtatanim nito sa hukay.. Magtatatlong buwan na rin yung farm ko.. Pero hininto ko muna ngayon kasi yung iba di nka survive dahil sa rhizome rot, at kulang pa ako sa kaalaman. Kaya ino obserbahan ko muna ngayon yung nasimulan ko ng matanim..
Gusto ko po sanang mgkaroon ng kaalaman at teknik ng pagtatanim nito..

Oliver Revelo, may ibibigay akong information sa inyo, dito sa Upi, o sa ibang bahagi ng Maguindanao province, marami ang sinubukan ang technique na “pagtatanim sa luya sa hukay” wala pang nakapag-ulat na successful kundi lahat ay failure. Nagtanong din tayo sa experto, Department of Agriculture, lahat ay walang naibigay na alam silang ganyan na technology, kong sinong nagturo, gusto ko ring malaman, but sad to inform you, na lahat ng nagsubok ay wala, kundi nakigaya lamang sila…

For the moment, the knowledgeable are hesitant to tell the secret until such time that the ginger demands goes low.

Just correct me if I’m wrong. It’s business right? That even the one who has discover such technology I don’t believe he’s telling the exact process.

We’ll just research more info and thorough experiment.

marami na po nagtatanim ng vaccum at ung hukay. may technicians na po nyan at may isa nga kmi marunong mag tanim, kaso di rin nya maibigay lahat. kahit inilista at nirecord ko na by video, di ko pa rin alam gaano ka rami ang mixtures ng mga raw materials. kulang pa rin me sa kaalaman. sana may seminar po sa vaccum type. dati 10months vaccum eh ngyn daw na bago may 1 and 1/2 vaccum then open na ung hukay…which is 94% higher production than all month vaccum. di rin kc basta basta mag tanim ng ginger. very sensitive. sana may seminar po sa vaccum type
