Barangay Orientation on Roles of Barangay  Based Institution (BBI’s) Seminar isinasagawa ng DILG

Nuro, Upi (July 27) Isinasagawa ng Department of Interior  and Local Government (DILG) ang isang seminar sa Barangay officials, Non-government Ogranizations (NGO) at Academe sector.   Ang layunin ng seminar ay upang lalong maunawaan,  magampanan at makipagtulungan ang LGU ng Barangay at ibang sector para sa kaayusan ng pamayanan.

Sa opening program ng tatlong araw na seminar na “Orientation on Roles of Barangay  Based Institution (BBI’s)” ay nagbigay ng kanyang inspirational message  ang bise alkalde ng Upi Alexis Platon.

Hiniling ni Platon sa mga Barangay official na gampanan ang kanilang mga tungkulin na walang pag-iibot at buong katapatan.

Sa message of support naman ni Sanggunian bayan member Myrna Lou De Vera ay pinaalaala sa official na sila ay sumumpa na magsisilbi sa mga mamamayan bilang kanilang public official ng Barangay.

Isa  sa mga resource person ay ang Philippine Drug Enforcement  Agency ARMM (PDEA ARMM) na ibabahagi ang sapat na kaalaman papaano lalabanan ang  naglilipanang  ipinagbabawal na gamut.

Ayon kay Agent Cieleto L. Llano ang chief ng planning section ng PDEA ARMM ay kinakailangan ang seminar para lalong mapalakas  ang  mga Barangay sa “war against drugs”. Hinihiling din ahensiya na dapat maglaan ng  pondo ang Barangay para sa “anti drugs campaign”. 

“Ano mang oras ay nasa panganib ang inyong mga anak.” Pahayag   ni Agent Llano.

Hinati ng tatlong cluster ang 23 barangay ng Upi, mauuna  ngayon araw   ang  Barangay Cluster 1:  Nuro, Mirab, Borongotan,Kibucay, Kibleg, Blensong, Tinungkaan, Kinitaan at Sefegefen. Bukas naman ay ang cluster 2 at susunod na araw ang pangatlo.

Ang tatlong araw na seminar ay pinamahalaan ng DILG sa pangagnasiwa ni Cecilia T. Pelobillo-Municipal Local Government  Operation Officer V (MLGOO V) sa pakikipagtulungan sa Liga ng mga Barangay at LGU Upi Officials.
